Other than being one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies, ‘just go with it’ has been my motto since staying with my fiancé on an army post in Germany. Not only do I not understand anything about the army (and I’ve been around the military for several years now – I still can’t make sense of it), but it is kind of difficult to get around with no car. So we have relied on the post bus.
The other day, the bus left us half-jogging after it as it continued on its little way with another bus not coming for another hour. After a minute of frustration, giggling, and ‘what are we gonna do’ mindset we decided to walk all the way back to the barracks. Yes. It was a long walk despite the countless times Steven kept telling me ‘it’s not that far’ and ‘we’re almost there’.
Our little walk, with all of our groceries in hand, ended up being such a wonderful breath of fresh air and quite fun. Much more fun than riding the bus. We walked through gorgeous sunflower fields which was a beautiful reminder of where we are. Germany!
Do I still prefer the bus? Yes. Of course. But sometimes in life, things don’t work out the way you plan. And it’s much more fun to just go with it and try something else and not stressing out or getting mad about it.
Make like a dead fish, and go with the flow. Better yet – make and adventure out of it. 😀 Happy Friday.
Great pictures. You are so cute! 🙂 Check out my two marriage related blogs: A Hope Chest and I Love This Husband & Wife Stuff. 🙂
Thanks, Karyl. Sure, I will check them out, thanks for sharing them with me!
Of course, I should have pointed out that I love this has ended. But it may still be fun to read. I am working on making a book out of the blog. 🙂
I see you found Frosted Cookie too. I didn’t want to mention that one because you mentioned you are trying to lose weight. I have a friend who won;t look at that one because it makes her hungry! I get my pics from Pinterest and I often salivate when I see those pics. That blog is a way for me to indulge in sweets without actually eating them. Enjoy! 🙂
Hehe! You caught me 🙂 I love baking for my family and fiancé. I am trying more raw food sweets these days, though. Pinterest is such a wonderful place for sharing recipes!!
Do you have boards on Pinterest? If so, I will look for you!
