Venice, Italy

A day trip to Venice, Italy

Our Gondala shouffer.

A crowded street

The magnificence of St. Marks Square is never portrayed quite right in the movies.

Leaving Venice. It was a perfect day.

We only had time for a day trip to Venice, and it was sadly not enough.  There is so much to do and see in this lovely town built on water.  It was extremely hot all day, but the excessive amount of gelato in all flavors kept me cool.  Surprisingly, china masks are a very popular souvenir here.  I had the pleasure of eating pizza the size of my face, and having tiramisu and a shot of espresso from a local café. Overall, a perfect day.
